Regenerative Thermal Oxidation
at Green Anode Plant
11-05-17 For the production of primary aluminium, carbon anodes are required for the electrolysis process. These anodes are usually produced on the same site as the primary aluminium.
The production of Anodes is splitted in raw material handling / forming and baking. The raw material and forming step is performed in a so called Green Anode or paste plant. At the several steps of processing, VOCs, PAHs and tar/condensates are emitted, which have to be treated with a suitable fume treatment system.

Regenerative Thermal Oxidiser (RTO) with downstream SCR-DeNOx

11-05-19 A world-wide producer of Carbon fibres has extended the production capacity at his site in Scotland.
Experiences with existing Regenerative Thermal Oxidisers (RTOs) have shown, that a single unit is not able to meet the low emission levels, especially for Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN) and Ammonia.
Therefore a new concept / technology was required.
