KeraSORB PACKED-BED FILTER SYSTEMS
The KeraSORB packed-bed filter system uses broken limestone pieces for the absorption of fluorine and HF. The patented system was originally developed for the treatment of the waste gases in the ceramic and brick industry, where HF emissions are widespread. Using a specially-designed cascade system - in which waste gas flows over a fixed-bed of limestone in a cross-flow direction - pressure drops of only 30% are achievable compared to fabric filter systems.
The used reactant can also be re-used after passing a peeling drum. This saves on fresh limestone and reduces the need to refill the integrated silo - a perfect solution combining lowest capital and operating expenses.
